Configure your security settings to connect to your cluster
To connect to your MongoDB cluster, you need to configure your security settings. This requires two simple steps and will only take a few minutes to complete:
You can also configure the following security options:
Database user authentication: Set up database user authentication to manage and secure access to your data at the user level.
Network access controls: Restrict network access by IP allow lists or configure private endpoints or VPC / VNet peering.
Role-Based Access Control: Enhance security by ensuring users only have the permissions necessary for their responsibilities.
Federated Authentication: Link user credentials across MongoDB systems, simplifying the authentication process and streamlining user management within your organization.
Queryable Encryption: Encrypt sensitive application data, store it securely in an encrypted state in MongoDB, and perform expressive queries directly on the encrypted data to protect your data while in use. These should be regularly reviewed and updated in response to evolving security threats and compliance requirements.
